Yes. You will see Ian again. There are jets and trains and freeways, all of which allow Ian to return to Michigan from time to time.You are also most welcome to visit New York City, where Ian will gladly receive you.

Will there be a time for me to say my goodbyes?

Ian is not dead. He is just moving. He will return.
